ACM A2, PF, rep 1
Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) A2
Description
This experiment is on a system consisting of an Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) A2 cladding panel and a Phenolic (PF) foam insulation panel, separated with a cavity of 50 mm width. It is the first repetition of this system configuration.
Experiment Notes
At approximately 5 minutes some of the core material fell out of the ACM A2 panel, causing a sudden change in the mass measurements as debris fell into the debris tray. Smouldering in the Phenolic foam insulation was seen to propagate at the end of the experiment, leading to a peak HRR of 42 kW, 50 minutes after the beggining of the test, eventually leading to the complete consumption of the Phenolic insulation panel.
