ACM PE, PIR, rep 1
Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) PE
Description
This experiment is on a system consisting of an Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) PE cladding panel and a Polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam insulation panel, separated with a cavity of 50 mm width. It is the first repetition of this system configuration.
Experiment Notes
At approximately 1 minute the PE core began to drip from the ACM panel, and continued to burn within the debris tray. At approximately 3 minutes, smoking droplets were observed coming out from the sides of the ACM PE panel. During the experiment, significant volumes of smoke were not captured by the extraction system, therefore potentially not capturing the full extent of the gas measurements and thus heat release rate.
